Coin Plating is one of the most underused systems in RACCOIN: Coin Pusher Roguelike by beginner players. Each of your active coins can receive a single material plating that upgrades its base effect in a meaningful way. Platings are applied in the Shop Phase using Shop Gold, and the Plating Kit item chip grants 2 free applications per run.
The critical principle: always plate your highest-impact coin first. A Ruby-Plated MultiCoin generates more score in one floor than the cost of the plating many times over. Do not spread platings across multiple coins of moderate importance โ concentrate them on the 1โ2 coins your entire build revolves around.
There are currently 18 confirmed plating types in RACCOIN v1.0. Each plating is thematically designed to enhance a specific coin archetype: metal platings (Gold, Silver, Iron) enhance economy and animal coins; elemental platings (Ruby, Magma, Frost) enhance multiplier and elemental coins; special platings (Prism, Alpha, Chrono) enhance unique-effect coins.

Ruby Plating on MultiCoin is the highest raw score plating in the game. It increases the base multiplier from ร1.5 to ร2.0 and the ceiling from ร5.0 to ร6.5. Since MultiCoin is already an S-tier coin, Ruby Plating amplifies the strongest coin in the game. Prism Plating on Rainbow Coin is a close second for versatile builds.
How do I apply Coin Plating in RACCOIN? โผ
Coin Plating is applied in the Shop Phase between floors. In the shop, select a coin from your active pool, then choose a plating from the available options. Each plating costs Shop Gold. The Plating Kit item chip grants 2 free plating applications per run, saving significant gold. Only one plating can be active per coin โ applying a new plating replaces the old one.
Should I plate my best coin early or wait? โผ
Apply plating as early as possible on your primary coin. A Gold-Plated Seed Coin from floor 2 generates double resources for the remaining 8+ floors. The compounding effect of early plating far outweighs the Shop Gold saved by waiting. Only delay plating if you need the gold for a more urgent chip purchase (like Score Multiplier in floor 1 shop).
Can I remove or change plating in RACCOIN? โผ
Yes. Applying a new plating to an already-plated coin replaces the previous plating. The old plating is not refunded โ it is permanently lost. There is no way to remove plating without replacing it with another. Plan your platings carefully and use the Plating Kit chip for the two most important plates to avoid paying replacement costs.
Does Coin Plating affect the coin's Tier rating? โผ
Plating does not change a coin's listed tier but can cause it to perform above its tier in practice. For example, Alpha Plating on Wolf Coin effectively raises it to S-tier performance within a Wolf+Pig build. Loaded Plating on Dice Coin can elevate it to A-tier within a Lucky Gambler run. Think of plating as a build-specific tier upgrade.
